Father, we pray You will bless this marriage with Your amazing love

As they walk with You may their love for You and one another refine

Water their relationship with the sweet fragrance of Your love

Flowing river of God’s grace draw them to thoughts above

In the business of their lives give t...

Healing Poem for People of Toronto

Posted on 29 April, 2018 at 13:00 Comments comments (0)

How can we begin to know the sorrow you are going through?

Lives are torn apart

A young man turning away from love

Committing an act of smoldering hatred

How your mind and spirit must be filled with such a huge weight

Why did this man go on a killing rampage?

Killing more women than men

More questio...

What is the true meaning of Christmas?

Posted on 20 December, 2017 at 10:25 Comments comments (0)

I share with you some thoughts about the Christmas season

That in all the hustle and bustle you would take time to reflect on its reason

It’s about caring for others

Going that extra mile

Bringing to the sad and the lonely a smile

Saying to others, “For you, I do care.

I want you to know for you I’m there.”...

Love that Forgives and Forgets

Posted on 16 December, 2017 at 17:05 Comments comments (0)

Our kitties continue to teach us important life lessons. The most recent one is that they share the kind of love of brother and sister that is unlike that of a human brother and sister or that of any human relationship. They have a knock down drag out fight full of hissing with surround sound. A short time later they are laying on the sofa nestled together as if nothing had happened. When I thi...

How love changes us - My open letter to Karen and you

Posted on 26 October, 2017 at 20:10 Comments comments (0)

I came across this serenity prayer for caregivers. I was so moved by it that I felt led to share it with you. I thank God for my beautiful wife, Karen, who is my main caregiver. With all the challenges to my energy, mobility, focus, the functioning of my body and memory that my extremely rare allergy cell disease mastocytosis presents, Karen has always been there encouraging and challenging me to...

The Blueberry Pie Caper

Posted on 19 August, 2017 at 10:45 Comments comments (0)

I rarely get in trouble as a child. If something happened when Mom was away, she would say to my sisters and brother when she returned, “You need to be an example to Kevin.” I was such an angelic child:) Whenever I say this with my sister or wife present they start laughing uproariously. Then, Valerie talks about the kind of trouble I start like the blueberry pie caper.
